How`s my pregnancy doing?

It's official - I suck at blogging.....

Well here I am at 17 weeks - yes 17 & my last update was at 9 weeks. I really really suck at this whole thing.

So am going to try to keep it a lot more simple (like me) which might motivate me more into keeping it updated.

Christmas has been & gone along with our NT Scan at 12weeks, a secondary scan at 14 weeks & hearing baby's heartbeat with a doppler (finally) at 16 weeks.

Our NT Scan went really well, despite my age baby measured right on target & pregnancy measured the same risk factors as a 28 yo's would (pretty happy with that at my age).

We had a scare at 14 weeks where I had some light spotting, but after yet another scan, turns out that I have a low lying placenta that at this stage is partially covering cervix. Dr's will be monitoring closely to see if it moves upwards - otherwise it will be a c-section for delivery.

No more spotting but did have a run to the ER a few days before Christmas because of a horrible dragging feeling I was having - was beginning to think that my cervix was not going to hold, but turns out I had a UTI - a course of antibiotics & was back up & racing, well waddling.

There is definitely no mistaking that I am pregnant now, got a definite baby bump or more like a hump actually. Georgie is so in love with her baby - who she calls "Snowy" & is so certain that Snowy is a girl. Well only 1 more week & we will know for sure. We are booked in for our morphology scan (done at 18 weeks) on 9th Jan when we will be finding out the sex.

So here is a pic of our little "Snowy". This is at 12w & 2 d

  1. 'Bout time you updated this dang thing! I'm so excited that you are already 17 weeks, and are doing so well. You know, I was thinking the other day and I've never really made this connection before - our babies will have a bond. They'll be the same age, and their mommies will be great friends. Maybe they'll grow up to be friends, and get to visit each other across the ocean! How cool is that?
